Lapeer Depot

Lapeer Depot
Established in 1900 the historic Lapeer Train Depot is one of 21 active depots in the State of Michigan serving east/west rail passenger service between Toronto and Chicago – the AMTRAK International Line. The Depot’s location in the City of Lapeer serves users from several surrounding counties, as it is the only stop between Port Huron and Flint.

Depot Renovations History: The Lapeer Depot has seen a face lift over the last 20 years. In 1990 the interior of the building and platform were renovated along with some landscaping.  In 2004 the Depot underwent a complete Historic Restoration (see picture above) which gave it a similar look as it had in the early 1900's.  Then in 2013 the parking lot was completely renovated and expanded, decorative fencing installed, exterior painted, and replaced tactile edge platform.
