Friday, July 16, 2004 visitors to the City of Lapeer ’s website
( www.ci.lapeer.mi.us )
will be to view tax and assessment information for property within
the City.
“We
are very excited about offering this service. This will allow residents,
title companies, mortgage companies and real estate professionals
the ability to view and print this information 24 hours a day, 7
days a week” said Assistant City Manager Joe Rozell .
Individuals
will be able to view tax amounts due, if taxes have been paid, ownership
information and property value information.
Information
will be updated every evening to reflect payments processed, changes
in ownership and other updates.
All
information available online is a public record and currently available
for viewing on public computer terminals located in the lobby of
city hall. “We are simply providing an opportunity for this information
to be accessed from the comfort of ones home or office, day or night”
said Rozell.
