Zoning Board of Appeals

The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) consists of six (6) members.

The ZBA has the authority to:
  • Grant variances from the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance;
  • Interpret the Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map;
  • Permit a legal non-conforming use of land or structures to be changed to another non-conforming use.
Public meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers on the second floor of Lapeer City Hall, 576 Liberty Park.
