MEET YOUR CITY MANAGER
Mike Womack began as the Lapeer city manager in May, 2023. Mike obtained his bachelor's degree from Oakland University, his master’s degree from Central Michigan University, and his juris doctor degree from Cooley Law School. Prior to starting in Lapeer, Mike practiced law in Macomb County for 8 years and then spent 7 years as the city manager for the City of Cedar Springs, MI. Mike is a pro-business realist that believes in a pragmatic and transparent government, and he works hard to ensure that the City fairly represents the interests of all citizens. Outside of the office, Mike is an avid runner and bicyclist, world-traveler and he and his wife help rescue and adopt special-needs dogs.
