Welcome to the Lapeer Fire & Rescue Department.  We hope that our website will provide you the opportunity to learn about your Fire Department, and provide a means for you to do business with us in a convenient and efficient manner.

For over 159 years, the Lapeer Fire & Rescue Department has been privileged to serve our community.  What began on March 16, 1858 as the “Lapeer Hook & Ladder Company” has grown and evolved into a 45 member organization serving a population of more than 24,000 who live in the City of Lapeer, Lapeer Township, Mayfield Township, and the southern half of Oregon Township.  This is an exceptional department and I am proud to serve as its Chief.

I am honored to work with the dedicated and professional men and women who make up this department.  They are your neighbors, friends, and relatives, and they are actively involved in the community to make this area a better place to work and live.  We remain committed to providing the highest level of fire education, fire suppression, and rescue services to our citizens, visitors, and businesses alike, while being as efficient as possible with your tax dollars.

On behalf of everyone at Lapeer City Fire & Rescue, thank you for taking the time to visit our website.  We hope that you will find it to be an interesting and useful source of information for you, your family and/or business. To learn more about us and the programs and services we provide, please take a look at the various pages on our website. I welcome your comments and suggestions to improve our website and make it more responsive to your needs.  If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (810) 664-0833 or by email at tkluge@ci.lapeer.mi.us.
