Chief Terry Kluge brings over 30 years of progressive fire service experience to the position of Fire Chief. He is the department's primary administrator and is responsible for managing all aspects of the department; particularly preparing and managing the department's annual budget, the development and implementation of all department programs, long range planning, and personnel matters. Chief Kluge is a part of the City's Management Team and maintains relationships with other city, county, and state agencies.
Chief Kluge has been the Fire Chief for the City of Lapeer since 1996. He began his career in Washington State and spent time as a fire chief in Kentucky prior to coming to Lapeer.
Helping keep the department operating smoothly are Teresa Brown (Public Safety Clerk) and Kelly Hoag (Dispatcher).
