Lapeer's downtown is growing! In 2012 there were 25 vacancies listed in the downtown area. As of August 12, 2016 only 9 vacancies remain downtown. Take a break, come downtown and see what Lapeer has to offer.

Downtown Lapeer hosts many special events and festivals throughout the year, themed on sports, art, sales and community
heritage and interests.
The Lapeer Chamber of Commerce holds the Lapeer Days Festival, dating back to 1902, right on the streets and in the parks every August. Check it out at lapeerdays.com.
The Lapeer Main Street DDA coordinates the Lapeer Cruise, Lapeer Summer Concert Series, Farmers Market, Halloween Treat Walk, Winterfest and retail events. Local businesses and organizations host an Ice Cream Social, Family Fun Day, parades, races, walks and run and a variety of exhibits all year long.
The Main Street DDA hosts the Downtown Lapeer website, publishes the annual Downtown Directory & Event Guide and is a liaison to new businesses downtown.
