The Fire Marshal division is led by Ron Best, who has been with the department since 1996. Also working in the division are Fire Inspector Chris Jadach (2000) and FF Greg Deverell (1979).
The division is responsible for fire code inspections and enforcement, fire investigations, pre-incident planning and collecting firefighter right-to-know information. They also review site and engineering plans to ensure all fire protection and prevention issues are addressed. The goal of our fire prevention inspection program is to protect lives and property from the effects of fire by discovering and correcting deficiencies before a fire occurs.
